Adoptions Manager – Responsible for overall operation of the adoption program including the daily care and enrichment of the animals available for adoption. Schedules, directs and manages adoption staff and animal care staff. Provides service and guidance as needed to resolve customer concerns. Assists in the creation of adoption promotions and marketing ideas designed to increase adoptions. Oversees volunteers assigned to adoptions department. Will perform adoption counselor duties whenever time allows or as needed. Will clean animal living spaces. Work proactively and collaboratively with co-managers from other departments.

Required Skills: Enjoys interacting with people. Outgoing and friendly with staff and visitors. Excellent in-person, phone and written communication skills. Willingness to speak to the public. Ability to manage themselves and others. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and comfortable with learning new software. Enjoys interacting with dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments.

Experience and Education: High School or better with a minimum 5 year’s experience managing people in a customer-centered environment.
