The Dutchess County SPCA is receiving $10,000 because our shelter cat J.R. was judged “Purrfectly Impurrfect.” J.R. was one of three winners of the annual “Purrfectly Impurrfect” campaign run by the maker of Arm & Hammer cat litter, Church & Dwight Co., Inc.
The campaign’s nominees are shelter cats who have been overlooked for adoption due to their appearance, personalities or age, with the idea that they may be helped to find a place to call home. Cats were nominated by shelters and cat fans through FelineGenerousStories.com, where each nominated feline’s story was told. The website received almost 2,000 nominations.
