The Dutchess County SPCA and The Marion E. Cantwell Testamentary Trust Are Pleased To Announce The Opportunity To Raise $100,000 Through A Challenge Grant

HYDE PARK, NY The Dutchess County SPCA, and Joyce Garrity, Trustee for the Marion E. Cantwell Testamentary Trust are excited to announce that the DCSPCA has been awarded a $ 50,000 challenge grant.
The Marion E. Cantwell Testamentary Trust supports the 146-year-old nonprofit by encouraging others to donate. Donations made between June 15 and September 25, 2017 will be matched in full, doubling the impact of a contribution.
The Dutchess County SPCA receives 100% of all its income from individual donations, foundations, corporations, donated services, and special events.
The DCSPCA is grateful for the on-going support of the Cantwell Testamentary Trust, and other supporters of our mission-related work. We need your help to attain our goal! We need to match the $50,000, dollar for dollar, in order to receive the matching grant.
Approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. It is our obligation and social responsibility to help.
Founded in 1871, The Dutchess County SPCA, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, is the lead agency for animal rescue and adoption in Dutchess County. The DCSPCA is a no-kill shelter with a history of concern, caring and providing shelter for unwanted, abused, abandoned and neglected animals. Central to the mission of the DCSPCA is the securing of caring, responsible, permanent homes for the adoptable animals in its care.
