Cats Sylvester and Princess (senior sweetheart) out on the charm when it came to their new families! They both did a great job as both families decided they would fit in their individual homes perfectly.
Now onto the canine side!! We had puppy Patrick, Adult dog Joker, and last but certainly not least senior sweetheart ARES!! Patrick is heading home to a family that has 3 other very friendly dogs that are going to show him that the world is a good place. Joker is heading home with another dog that could pass as his twin. Now Mr. Ares isn't heading home with any other pets but that is exactly what he wants. He is going to be the center of his mom and dads world and he wouldn't want it any other way!!
Congratulations to all! Please be sure to stop in or check out our Facebook posts tomorrow for our "pop up promotion" on all our pets!!
Here is a sneak peek at some of the photos from this week's visit from HeARTs Speak! We would also like the thank Savage Universal Corporation who has previously donated the backdrop and stand that you see in the photos, and this week they donated a set of LED studio lights to us! We are so grateful for organizations like these that are willing to help our animals be seen! The two gorgeous models in these photos are Gypsey and Olaf, stop by and visit them! #adoptdontshop #adopt #heartsspeak #dcspca ... See MoreSee Less
Adult cats Bob, Sir Fluffy (camera shy) and Momma Mittens (camera shy) were all adopted today! Bob is heading home where he has a feline friend and two canine friends anxiously awaiting his arrival. Cats Sir Fluffy and Momma mittens went to their new home together. They are both more of the independent type of kitties so after adjusting to their new surroundings they will have tons of fun catching mice and enjoying the outside (with the option to come in of course)!!
Now on our dog side we had one fantastic adoption, and that is Miss Tina (formally known as Kevina). Her dad has actually met her once before, and came back to see if he still had a connection with her and he did!! So off he went to get his home ready and he came back today for her!!
Congratulations to all! We reopen for adoptions tomorrow Saturday from Noon till 5pm! We hope to see you than!

Kitten Paulie was on our adoption floor for a whole 25 minutes before his new parents scooped him right up! Kitten Angel was just to precious for his foster mom to let go of, so she adopted him. Adult cats Marshmellow and Louise also found their new parents tonight.
Puppy Tundra found his new home today as well. His new family came in looking for a young happy dog and Tundra was the lucky one. He ran out of the front door so quick we weren't able to grab a picture of him.
Congratulations to all! We reopen tomorrow Friday from 2pm till 5pm! ... See MoreSee Less
There's a one-year-old kitten at the SPCA right now who, along with her baby, were my fosters. The baby got adopted instantly; mama Ladybug is still at the shelter. She's SUCH a good girl, and she needs a place to be a kitten herself. Please spread the word about her awesomeness! www.petfinder.com/petdetail/37815640
Puppy Tacoma meet his new mom and sister this weekend and couldn’t wait to take him home. They came in today and headed home, he was so excited and left so quickly we couldn’t even get a picture of him. Adult dog Pippa didn’t even make it to the adoption floor before she was scooped up. She pranced right out of the building and jumped right into her mom’s car.
Adult cat Leslie Chow (Camera Shy) put the charm on her new parents and off they went. They couldn’t resist the love that she had given them in the short time they had spent together.
Congratulations to all! We reopen Thursday from Noon till 7pm! ... See MoreSee Less

Today is "look-alike day" so we wanted to share these two cuties. Coco is an energetic, happy girl who loves to play! She did live with another dog, and has done well with other dogs here! Patrick, is a young puppy who is looking for a nice cozy home where he can learn the world isn't a scary place! He would also probably do best with a confident dog leading the way! Both dogs are here waiting to be a part of your family! #adoptdontshop #makehomehappen #dcspca #lookalike ... See MoreSee Less
